The HCA System is a nutrition assessment and analysis system and extended holistic interview / history.  This assists the clinician in discerning the cause of a patient's distress, to direct further diagnostic inquiry, and to suggest the direction of possible treatment approaches.  It also allows the clinician to recognize patterns of imbalance and the inter-relationship between different organ system function and systems.  The system uses a scientifically developed questionnaire and manual graphing system.  Furthermore, a bibliography has been provided for the clinician with references used as the foundation for this diagnostic system.  Finally, a patient record sheet is provided to focus and record the clinicians approach with the client, which becomes part of the patient record.

The protocols presented are nutritional approaches to support the structure and function of the patient, using scientifically applied approaches in areas identified by the HCA System.  A Gastrointestinal resuscitation, cleansing and repair program is presented (H.E.L.P. System), since this organ system is often central to holistic intervention.  Also, an extensive list of common conditions and symptoms is presented, as well as suggested treatment protocols.  Finally, conversion guides are given for those needing or wanting product alternatives.
